New Offering Packs Cinnamon’s Many Health Benefits in One Snack

New York, NY (September 21, 2023) – Scott’s® Protein Balls is launching its newest flavor, Cinnamon Bun, made with all organic ingredients, at Natural Products Expo East (Booth #4472), one of the premier food shows featuring all organic and natural brands. The newest flavor is packed with the super ingredient cinnamon, always a consumer favorite, that is proven to have many health benefits. This will be the eighth flavor variety for the company which is rapidly growing in response to consumer’s unwavering demand for healthy, great-tasting snack options. 

Scott’s Protein Balls just wrapped up an active and productive summer season, adding numerous retail locations, with the snacks now available in almost 100 locations. New additions include top specialty store Citarella, with three stores in the Hamptons, the popular Long Island seaside community, and most recently in the New York City area, including Greenwich Village and Greenwich, CT. Scott’s Protein Balls are the only refrigerated protein balls featuring healthy ingredients.

“We are excited to be introducing another healthy flavor option for consumers,” says Lori Levine, Co-Founder and CEO. “The focus on cinnamon was intentional as it is known as a superfood ingredient and people love cinnamon!” 

Working with Nutrition Educator and Culinary Consultant, Tricia Williams, Founder and CEO of Daily Dose, the Cinnamon Bun snacks are also the company’s second flavor to be made with its Proprietary Protein Powder Blend, packed with higher protein and other superfood ingredients. Each serving has 8 grams of protein.

Founded in 2020, Scott’s Protein Balls were created by Scott Levine, Co-Founder and CFO, for his wife Lori who, after a battle with breast cancer, was looking for a clean soy-free low-sugar snack to take on the go that didn’t sacrifice taste. The company offers seven other flavors including Peanut Butter Cup, Peanut Butter Cacao, Mint Chocolate Chip, Brownie Batter, Confetti, Snickerdoodle, and Java Peanut Butter. Seasonally, they offer limited-edition flavors including Pumpkin Spice (available now through October), Red Velvet, and Peppermint Bark.
