Do I need to keep the protein balls cold?
We ship the balls frozen, but they will likely arrive room temperature. While there aren’t any ingredients that spoil, we suggest keeping them frozen and letting them thaw for a few minutes until you are ready to eat them to preserve taste and freshness. If you decide to keep them in the refrigerator, we suggest consuming them by the date on the package.
Do we use any plant-based ingredients?
ALL of our ingredients are plant-based and non-GMO.
How many should I eat at a time?
That is up to you, but we generally recommend two at a time for a snack or two to three if using them for a meal.
Are your products gluten free?
Our products are made with only Gluten Free ingredients, however, our protein balls are prepared in a kitchen where other products are made that may contain gluten. We do our best to ensure no cross contamination, but cannot guarantee it has not occurred.
Do you have any nut free products?
Our Confetti and Brownie Batter protein balls are made with only Nut Free ingredients. On the days that we produce our nut free protein balls, we DO NOT produce any peanut or tree nut products.
However, our protein balls are prepared in a kitchen where other products are made that may contain nuts. We do our best to ensure no cross contamination, including sanitizing all equipment prior to use, but cannot guarantee it has not occurred.
Why are the protein balls sometimes dark brown and other times they are lighter?
One of the ingredients in our protein balls is ground flaxseed. We purchase golden or dark brown ground flaxseed, which is why, sometimes, some of the protein balls appear as a darker color than others.
Why are there sometimes white dots in the protein balls?
When we purchase chia seeds, they are mostly black chia seeds, however, they are always mixed with white chia seeds. Therefore, you may notice what look like white dots in the protein balls. They are actually white chia seeds.
